A LETTER TO MY STUDENTS
This certainly wasn’t the year we expected when we all gathered together at CVMS on the first day of school. We had high hopes of assemblies, the 6th grade field trip, spring concerts, and the talent show. None of us ever imagined that there would be no “last day” of playing on the playground all afternoon and having our friends sign our yearbooks. No field day--which homeroom would have been awarded the trophy? No math class baseball game or last day walk to the Dairy Queen with our friends. Yet in spite of all the things you missed, you gained some things too. Some of those things you may not fully appreciate now, but may eventually come to recognize in the future. I will leave that reflection to you and your family.
I want you to know that I thought about you EVERY SINGLE DAY, and I missed you so much. You will forever hold a special place in my heart; you will always be one of “my kids” -- the ones that I never got to say good-bye to. I will close by simply saying that you are very dear to me, and I wish you all the best.
Take care--
Mrs. Parsons

Math Texts: Your child will have an online math text. A username and password will be assigned so that your child can access the CPM site. One very important thing to remember about the CPM eBook: If a student does not log out after using the eBook at home, he/she cannot get back into the program on a school computer. Likewise, if a student is using the eBook at school and does not log out, he/she cannot get back into the program on a home computer. If you have difficulty logging on at home, this may be the issue. It takes some students awhile before they get comfortable with the process. If you are having difficulty logging in, completely leave the site by logging out and try again.
